The weekend of 19th/20th
April 2008, saw Olga's Grade 1&2 trampolinists make the
trip to Cardiff for the 4th Gala Weekend Competition of
this season. Both were extremely long days with the
largest number of entries so far this year. Olga came
away with 7 Gold, 3 Silver and 7 Bronze titles, and out
of 38 competitors, 32 have now qualified for the British
National Championships in Birmingham in July. In the
Grade 1 U13 boys Zachary Sheridan took gold, a fantastic
achievement having been out of training for nearly a
year! The U11 girls saw both Nina Czarnokoza and
Natalie Bailey perform brand new routines, with Nina
taking the Bronze medal, and along with their other team
mate, Isabelle Songhurst, took the team Gold. In the
U15 boys Olga took a clean sweep with 1st, 2nd & 3rd.
The boys went into the final; Jordan George 1st, Jason
Ryall 2nd and Ryan Stickland 4th. Both Jordan and Jason
held their nerve, both performing excellent final
routines and held their 1st and 2nd place. Ryan
performed brilliantly and pulled upto 3rd. Along with
their team mate, Joe Berry, the boys also took the team
Gold. In the Grade 2 competition, Sophie Haynes,
(competing in her first season at Grade 2) took her
third Gold title in the U11 girls this season. Olga
dominated the Grade 2 U11 girls team event with Team A,
Sophie Haynes, Chloe Anderson and Arhian Davies taking
gold and Team B, Megan Lowe, Sophie Edroff and Chloe
Wiener taking bronze.
