GYMNASTIC
FESTIVAL 2007
The first gymnastics
festival, for recreational and pre-development gymnasts was held at
OLGA on Sunday 17th June. Over 100 gymnasts participated, the
youngest being Joshua Everton just 4 years old. All gymnasts
performed well, with the coaches, and judges amazed at the quality
of work produced. Parents were keen to support and cheered and
clapped all the gymnasts as they came out to compete. Many parents
gave up the whole day and volunteered to help organise and run the
competition. Their help was invaluable to the smooth running of the
competition and ensured it did not overrun. Many competitions never
get off the ground because of lack of support, OLGA are extremely
lucky and appreciative of the support given by all parents, not only
at competitions but throughout the year as well.
It is hoped that this event will become a
permanent event in the competition calendar. Congratulations to all
competitors.
